AMERICAN ZEN

The goal of the Zen Fellowship of Dayton is to create a sanctuary for Zen training and practice.  We offer an open door to anyone of any faith and experience level interested in the path of Zen inquiry.

Zen Master Dae Gak, the guiding teacher of the ZFD and all centers affiliated with Furnace Mountain Zen Center, was given Inka in 1986 and Dharma transmission by Zen Master Seung Sahn in 1994. He has been practicing Zen for over 30 years in both the Korean and Japanese traditions.

Our resident teacher Myogetsu Osho (Mark Davis) has been practicing with Zen Master Dae Gak since 1994.

The ZFD is currently under the direction of Abbot Connie Klayko.
